We were enormously fortunate to have a visit on 6 December from Australian poet and activist John Kinsella, who gave a scintillating hour-long reading and lecture that invigoratingly mixed poetry and politics, the international and the local, ranging freely over all kinds of topics such as the link between poetry and ecology, reverse anthropomorphism and how a poem can be a place where difficulty and clarity meet.
